Okie.. here it goes..
On a sat evening, I went NTUC at Bukit Panjang Plaza with my mum to shop for some groceries before I go back to NTU. There, I initially wanted to buy 2 HorFun Kolka Cup noodles.. (It costed like $1.10 each). Then when we nearing the counter, there was this small stall, the one u noe NTUC always like to have when they are advertising products.. yes and the auntie there was vigorously advertising the new korean cup noodles (Da Wan Mian, aka Big Bowl Noodles.. yes the name sounds like it was adapted from the Xiao Wan Mian rite)? Anyway!. The auntie offered us a small sample of the Da Wan Mian which i tried and found to be quite nice.. not bad in fact. So i wanted to put back one of my Kolka instant noodle, and exchange it for the korean one, while keeping the other kolka one becoz i liked to eat hor fun. But the auntie was persuading me to buy more of the korean ones, and while i rejected her, she did the next best thing, by talking to her fellow 50s, which of coz is my mummy, and who of coz got persuaded and wanted me to take more of the korean ones as well. I ended up putting back the other kolka that i have to get 2 korean ones, one seafood flavoured and the other hot flavoured. But the auntie wasnt done. She told us, the hot flavoured one was selling fast and advised us to get more.. My mum den asked a very cute qn "this brand of instant noodles will still be on sales after today rite?" to which the auntie succumbed to say ..'ya....'.. so that's it.. i was going off to pay for my stuffs.. but again! the auntie called us back and say the mushroom flavoured one was nice.. It was so obvious that the auntie was trying a 'anyhow whack method' and everything is nice to her when I'm so sure all 4 flavours of the Da Wan Mian taste more or less the same. However, I ended up taking one mushroom, one seafood, and one hot flavour.. =) so much for being singapore's premium supermarket.. they gotta send their employees for some marketing courses
