One word to describe the taxi service here in Singapore.. CuI!.
There have always been complains about Singapore's taxi drivers and how they r not going to help Singapore's bid to be a wel-refined country come the day IR built and tourists start flooding to our physically beautiful nation.
This is what happened today..
Me and Jingsheng took cab home from NTU.. and we told the uncle we are going to bukit timah plaza first, followed by my place. The uncle obviously wasn't clear with bukit timah area, and thought that we wanted to stop at bukit timah shopping centre instead. But this was quite acceptable, because the names of the shopping centres there are quite close to one another.. like beauty world, bukit timah plaza, bukti timah shopping ctr.. so alright.. the uncle took a big round to go back to bukit timah plaza.. before turning a big round again to go to my place..
den on the way.. i realise i din bring enuff money so i asked my bro to bring some money and wait for me at the car park..
Den.. when i arrived at my carpark, I ask the uncle how much the trip cost.. den he actually gave me the exact price stated in the metre.. even after he made the mistake which i estimate to have increased the taxi price by at least 2-3 bucks..
So i was abit pissed.. and asked him erm.. how bout what happened at bukit timah.. den he replied.. oh.. don worry i'll give u a discount on that.. so its 16.60 (original was 17.10)
.. wow.. so much for discount.. n for his own error?
so i din want to argue with him.. n just tried to count the money to pay him.. but as i was counting.. he actually just took the money from me n den do some accounting for me.. asking me to pay him 60 cents first.. den he use whatever money he had to count for the fare.. i was so shocked and in disbelief that i just stared at him n din scold him.. which i felt i shld now..
but I never tot any taxi driver will do this.. SO.. so much for being a customer oriented service.. Citycab..
