Okie~.. so christmas was spent on watching a performance at some Lighthouse Church in woodlands, and ended with the movie "Curse of the golden flower" at Jurong Pt. Both were great shows.. the first was on piety.. while the second was simply sensational.. haha.. maybe i exaggerated it but it I realli like it.. the acting from Jay, Gong Li and Yun Fatt was very good, and Zhang Yimou is such a horny guy.. he made all the girls in the show wear push-ups.. nice to see but its the first time i watch all girls in a show wear as per such.

The next day was christmas potluck for hall 6. However, the scrabble team din realli go n enjoy it as we were busy training up for the competition the next day.. u noe when i join it initially, it was just for the fun of playing.. den as time pass.. i realise this was a team that realli wants to go far, and even win the whole comp.. so I put in some effort to memorising some common words.. and as the day passes by, became excited at it.. it no longer is a game where we just try to put any words in.. it became a strategic one where you not only have to try to put high-scoring words and block off ur opponents, you also have to be better den ur opponents at 3-4 letter words so that you can cheat them, as well as not be cheated by them.

The scrabble first day went well for the team.. but not for me.. winning the first singles by 200+ pts, losing the 2nd and 3rd by 100-200 pts, winning the 4th doubles by 200, and losing that damn 5th singles by 12 pts.. that was a cursed match.. I realli felt I could have won that one, but I wasnt careful and allowed my opponent to come back everytime I take a big lead.. sigh..

So we got into semis.. on the 2nd day, I won the 1st doubles by 300 pts, lose the 2nd singles by 100 pts, and lost the eventual semi singles by 100pts.. the only consolation was that the singles i played against hall 7,8,9 and 3 were against top opponents so it was a learning exp for next yr, but I still feel sad i cant win any of them
